Executive Summary

 

McAfee Internet Security 2009 and McAfee Total Protection 2009 excelled in almost every test. McAfee Internet Security and McAfee Total Protection installed more quickly, scanned hard disk files in less time, used less memory and generally proved to present a lower profile and consume fewer resources than the other products.

Especially when compared to its predecessor, Norton Internet Security 2009 shows improvements, most notably in a decreased installation time.

The other products’ year-over-year changes were unremarkable.

 

McAfee Internet Security and McAfee Total Protection earn themselves the Network Testing Labs World Class Award for best-performing endpoint security products.
